Tense situation in Thalakiriyagama over illegal mining case

An illegal mining racket is taking place in Thalakiriyagama area in Dambulla, residents in the area complained.

A heated situation erupted in the area when the residents met the businessman who was involved in the mining.

Residents claimed that the mining is affected the ancient dam in the area.
