A tense situation has erupted during the protest launched by Ambuluwawa residents against the dumping of garbage of Gampola Municipal Council in the area.
An official claiming to be from the Presidential Secretariat has told the protesters that they would dump garbage by force even if they do not allow it.
The agitated protesters has held the official and other officials from the Gampola Municipal Council, without letting them to leave for nearly four hours will the police intervened.
