Kahatagasdigiliya - A 70 year old man who was caught by a crocodile while swimming in the Diyamailagaswewa lake has been rescued by a Buddhist monk from a temple in the village yesterday (07).
Police said that while bathing in the lake, the monk was about to return to the temple when he heard the man screaming.
At that moment, the monk had jumped back into the lake and fought with the crocodile to save the life of the 70 year old man.
