According to the Nuwara Eliya Police, four people were injured in an accident that occurred yesterday evening (14) when a bus overturned in the upper area of Labookele on the Nuwara Eliya-Kandy road.
A private bus which was travelling from Nuwara Eliya to Labookale has been involved in the accident and it is reported that there were about 35 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.
It has been revealed in the initial investigations conducted by the police that the accident had occurred due to the bus driver not being able to control the speed.
The Nuwara Eliya Police will conduct further investigations regarding the accident.
