The Convenor of the Health Trade Union Alliance, has announced the resumption of trade union action by a collective of 72 health sector unions on February 1st. The suspended action, initiated to advocate for 'economic justice' for healthcare employees, will recommence with protest campaigns scheduled in front of hospitals nationwide starting January 23.
He emphasized that the trade unions are striving to minimize the impact on patients resulting from their actions. However, he stated that a resolution could be achieved if the state agreed to meet their demands or promptly provided alternative solutions to address their concerns.
