A collision between a van and a car near Hungama on the Tissamaharama – Matara main road has resulted in seven individuals being hospitalized this afternoon (04 Feb.). The incident occurred when the van attempted to overtake a bus on the main road.
Five occupants of the car and two individuals from the van sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties, identified as residents of Hunagama and Tangalle, were admitted to the Tangalle, Angunakolapelessa, and Hambantota hospitals for medical treatment.
The Hunagama Police are conducting further investigations into the accident to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
