The Colombo International Book Fair, organised annually by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association, opened to readers today (27).
The fair will run until 6 October at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, open daily from 9am to 9pm.
Visitors will be able to purchase thousands of titles across categories including fiction, poetry, cinema, research and education, with many available at discounted prices. The event will also feature book launches and author meet-and-greet sessions.
Special bus services have been arranged for the convenience of attendees.
Organisers expect tens of thousands of visitors over the course of the fair, continuing its reputation as one of the largest annual cultural events in Sri Lanka.
