Former Chief Justice leaves the official residence

Former+Chief+Justice+leaves+the+official+residence

Former chief justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayaka who was removed from her post through an impeachment has left her official residence at Wijerama road in Colombo 7 at approximately 5.30pm today.

Speaking to the journalists that were gathered she made the following statement.

Dr. Shirani Bandaranayak was the first female to be appointed as Chief Justice in Sri Lanka and she also is the first chief justice to be removed from the post through a continuous impeachment process.
