Lassana.com opens latest outlet at Cinnamon Grand Colombo

Lassana.com, Sri Lanka’s leading floral and gifting brand, officially unveiled its newest flower boutique at Cinnamon Grand Colombo on Monday, further strengthening its presence in Colombo’s hospitality and lifestyle sector while offering customers enhanced access to premium floral gifting and wedding floral experiences.

The new outlet was ceremonially declared open by Chief Guest Sanath Manatunge, CEO of Commercial Bank, together with Guest of Honour and Lassana.com Brand Ambassador, former Miss Sri Lanka World Anudi Gunasekera.

The event was attended by Dr. Lasantha Malavige, Chairman and Managing Director of Lassana Group of Companies; Piet De Jong, Head of Flower Division; Nazoomi Azhar, General Manager of Cinnamon Grand Colombo; and Yoosuf Sirajudeen, Manager – Luxury Weddings at Lassana Flora Weddings, along with a large gathering of guests and well-wishers.

The newly launched boutique has been designed to offer a curated selection of fresh flowers, floral arrangements, and gifting solutions, providing hotel guests, corporate clients, residents, and visitors convenient access to high-quality floral products in the heart of Colombo.

Speaking at the opening, Dr. Lasantha Malavige said the Cinnamon Grand boutique represents an important milestone in Lassana.com’s journey to build a comprehensive floral and gifting ecosystem in Sri Lanka.

“This partnership brings together the country’s leading floral brand and one of Sri Lanka’s most respected hospitality brands, Cinnamon, to deliver a seamless and elevated customer experience,” he said.

He noted that the outlet will function beyond a traditional retail space, serving as a multichannel gifting hub where customers can place orders via Lassana.com for collection at Cinnamon Grand, in addition to delivery services.

He further added that the boutique’s floral range, along with Cinnamon Grand’s confectionery selection, will also be available for free delivery across Colombo 1 to 4 using electric vehicles.

“Looking ahead, Lassana.com plans to further expand its network of retail touchpoints and move towards becoming a fully carbon-free company in the near future,” he said.

Dr. Malavige also said the company currently operates two plantations in the hill country and Gampaha district.

Brand Ambassador Anudi Gunasekera said flowers carry a deeper message beyond their beauty.

“I believe flowers are not just meant to be admired for their beauty or fragrance. They teach us a lesson too. Flowers bloom, fade, and bloom again. Joy is much the same. It may leave for a while, but it has a habit of returning. I think flowers remind us of that,” she said.

Cinnamon Grand Colombo General Manager Nazoomi Azhar said the partnership reflects the hotel’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences through meaningful collaborations between trusted Sri Lankan brands.
