Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa provinceand in Kurunegala, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Several spells of showers may occur in Matale and Hambantota districts.

Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central and North-western provincesand in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala districts.

Naval and fishing communities are advised not to venture into the sea areas marked by RED color on the map above until further notice.

Those who are out at the aforementioned sea regions are advised to return to coasts or move to safer areas immediately.
