Yasodha Range Bandara, the son of United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara, has been arrested following a car accident early this morning (29).
The incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. near the 7th Mile Post in Mee-Oya, Karuwalagaswewa, Elephant Pass area. The car driven by Yasodha Range Bandara reportedly veered off the road and collided with a three-wheeler.
The driver of the three-wheeler sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment.
The Karuwalagaswewa Police are conducting further investigations into the accident.
