Police investigations have revealed new details about the tragic deaths of two grade 10 students from an international school in Colombo 7. CCTV footage shows that the two students left school together in a three-wheeler and arrived at an apartment building, misleading security officers by claiming they were attending a party at a friend's apartment.

The deceased schoolboy, a resident of Harmers Avenue in Wellawatta, and the girl, a resident of Saparamadu Place in Kelaniya, entered the gymnasium on the fifth floor of the building, where they changed clothes and left their school bags. The boy then exited the building alone, collected a parcel from a motorcyclist, and returned.

Both students were seen taking the lift to the 67th floor. They then walked onto the outside staircase, leaving their shoes, wallets, mobile phones, and cigarettes there. Tragically, both fell from the staircase, and their bodies were discovered on the third floor by the police.

Statements have been recorded from the parents, revealing that the two families have been closely associated for some time. Police continue to investigate the incident based on CCTV footage.

The police conducting the investigation stated that the two students appeared calm in their movements and the initial investigation do not show any signs of drug usage.

While this story has garnered widespread interest and various speculations, nothing has been firmly established or the actual events leading to this tragedy. The police confirmed that investigations continue to explore the events.

It has been revelated that the deceased girl was interested in taking pictures from high places evidenced through various photographs contained in the phone.

Therefore it is still not clear whether it was an accident or a deliberate attempt to end their lives.
