The Chinese government has awarded 30 full scholarships to Sri Lankan students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The scholarships are for postgraduate and doctoral studies in various fields, including medicine, engineering, agriculture, and the arts. Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madhura Seneviratne, said that the scholarships have opened doors for many talented Sri Lankan students to pursue their academic dreams.
He made the comments at an official ceremony held at the Chinese Embassy in Colombo on the 13th of August. Over 165 students have benefited from this scholarship programme by 2025.
