Completing their quarantine period at Habaraduwa, Kalutara and Kundasale police training colleges, 100 personnel attached to the Minuwangoda police station left for their homes yesterday (23).

They should remain in self-quarantine for a further 14-day period and will not be called for duty, a top police officer in Gampaha said.

The Minuwangoda police station was closed and its officers sent for quarantine after the finding that its canteen owner had contracted Covid-19.

It was opened later following disinfection with personnel from nearby police station manning it.
