Update: Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) says there is NO cyber attack on the Government websites and Google search engine needs to be optimized.

The Sri Lanka Information Technology Association said that the websites of several other government-owned entities, including the Presidential Secretariat, were hacked today (4).

It has been reported that the websites of the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Medical Research Institute, the Sri Lanka Survey Department, the Family Health Bureau, the North Western Provincial Management Development and Training Division have been hacked.

Similar attacks have been carried out in recent times targeting state-owned enterprises.
