Panadura, Sri Lanka [HiruNewsEnglish] - In a distressing incident at Panadura railway station, three individuals, including the station master, found themselves injured and subsequently hospitalized following a clash between railway employees and a group of ticket takers. The altercation unfolded on the afternoon of October 2nd and was rooted in a dispute over ticket delays.

The disagreement that led to this incident began on October 2nd when tensions flared due to reported ticket delays at the station. As emotions ran high, the situation escalated, resulting in physical altercations between railway personnel and ticket takers.

Among those injured in the altercation was the station master who was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, and reports suggest that their condition is stable.

Additionally, a father and son duo involved in the confrontation were subsequently arrested by local authorities. The son sustained injuries during the incident and is currently receiving medical attention at Panadura Hospital under police protection. 

The individuals involved in this incident are identified as residents of Panadura, specifically residing on Sagara Mawatha.
