LTTE-ERA+WEAPONS+CACHE+FOUND+IN+MULLAITIVU+BUNKER

A cache of weapons suspected to have been used by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leaders during the war has been discovered in an underground bunker in Manduvil, Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu.


The discovery was made during an excavation conducted by Puthukudiyiruppu Police and the Police Special Task Force (STF) Bomb Disposal Unit.


The underground bunker, approximately 20 feet deep, and the surrounding area had been damaged during the war.


Our correspondent stated that the land had been returned to its original owners, and the weapons cache was found during an excavation carried out on the property.
