The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has launched a tender process for 20 new temporary parking lots in Colombo, aiming to alleviate the city's traffic congestion.
Some of these parking lots are already operational, with more having been recently established. The UDA stated that these measures are intended to improve urban mobility, especially given that over 400,000 vehicles enter the city daily.
In addition to the temporary lots, plans for multi-storey parking complexes are also currently underway.
