Arkia+Airlines+commences+weekly+flights+to+Colombo

 Arkia Airlines of Israel has announced that it will commence direct flights between Colombo and Tel Aviv starting today (24).


These flights, which will operate once a week, are primarily aimed at Israeli tourists.


Flight IZ 639 will depart from Tel Aviv airport at 6:30 PM every Tuesday and arrive at Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake at 6:15 AM the next day.


Due to the flight ban on Israeli aircraft over Oman and the Maldives, the flight will travel via the Seychelles, making the flight duration approximately 9 hours and 15 minutes.


Additionally, flight IZ 640 will depart from Colombo at 10:30 PM every Wednesday and arrive in Tel Aviv at 5:35 AM on Thursday.
