In a special request, the Speaker of the House, Doctor Jagath Wickramaratne, has asked all Members of Parliament to wear pink or pink-shaded clothing tomorrow (22).

The initiative is in recognition of ‘Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month’, which takes place throughout October.

A statement from the Department of Communication of Parliament confirmed that the Women Parliamentarians' Caucus has also organised the distribution of a special badge to every MP at the Members' Entrance before proceedings begin tomorrow.
