Varun Beverages Lanka (Pvt) Ltd has established a strategic partnership with Cleantech Pvt Ltd Recyclers and Neptune Recyclers to strengthen the PET plastic recycling system in Sri Lanka and drive the development of a large-scale circular economy across the country.

Through this partnership with Cleantech Pvt Ltd Recyclers, Varun Beverages Lanka will contribute to the growth of plastic recycling capacity through machinery investments, and enhance the ability to efficiently sort and process post-consumer PET bottles to obtain a high-quality recycled material.

In parallel, Varun Beverages Lanka, together with Neptune Recyclers, has established a Plastic Recycling Facility (MRF) and implemented collaborative programs to improve the PET bottle recovery and recycling process. This contributes to the establishment of a reliable and sustainable supply chain for PET by collecting PET bottles from the community level.

This overall partnership further strengthens Varun Beverages Lanka’s long-term commitment to responsible plastic management and empowers the company’s objectives.

These private sector partnerships with Cleantech Pvt Ltd Recyclers and Neptune Recyclers can be pointed out as an example of an excellent contribution to Sri Lanka’s sustainable development vision, environmentally friendly resource management and corporate responsibility, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations.
