Students received 49 development projects worth over Rs. 10 million during the "49 for 49" welfare program held on the morning of the 23rd. The event marked the 49th anniversary of Embilipitiya President's College. Alumni groups from various years collaborated to complete these initiatives.

These infrastructure projects required a total investment exceeding 10 million rupees, according to Alumni Association President Pradeep Kumara Ratnayake. The projects aim to significantly improve the school's facilities and learning environment.

A significant highlight of the ceremony involved naming the school sports pavilion after former sports teacher R.A. Siripala to honour his distinguished service to the institution.
