Amid a cautious approach to market participation driven by the uncertain global geopolitical environment stemming from US-Iran tensions, the Colombo Bourse remained largely stagnant throughout the session.
The ASPI was flat, recording a marginal gain of 1 point to close at 22,568, while the S&P SL20 also exhibited minimal movement, declining by just 1 point to close at 6,205. CINS, CTC, COMB, JKH and MELS were the top positive contributors to the ASPI.

Capital Goods sector led the daily turnover with a share of 17%, followed by the Food Beverage & Tobacco, and Banking sectors collectively contributing 31%. Foreign investors turned net sellers, posting a net outflow of LKR 31.1Mn.
