The cabinet has approved submitting the newly gazetted 2026 anti-corruption regulations, which mandate digital asset declarations and target high-risk officials, to parliament for approval, minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.

“The Cabinet approved the proposal to submit the said Regulations to Parliament for approval, which have been published through Extraordinary Gazette Notifications Nos. 2482/03 and 2482/04 dated 30-03-2026,” Jayatissa told reporters.

The regulations are made under Section 156 of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.
