Fish prices in the market have further increased compared to previous weeks.

The prevailing weather conditions and issues related to fishing nets have contributed to the price hike, said Jayanta Kure, Secretary of the Traders’ Association at the Peliyagoda Central Fish Market Complex.

Accordingly, on (10) today, a kilogram of linnya is being sold at around Rs. 1,300, salaya between Rs. 800 and Rs. 900 per kilogram, and thalapath at Rs. 2,500 per kilogram.
