Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated in Parliament today (10) that the government has not taken any decision to refrain from holding any elections.

She made these remarks in response to a question raised by MP Ravi Karunanayake regarding the delay in conducting Provincial Council elections.

Meanwhile, a heated exchange broke out in Parliament after Speaker did not allow MP Sujeewa Senasinghe to raise a point of order.
