The Sri Lanka Police introduced a QR code-based digital platform to enable the public to submit feedback, complaints, compliments and suggestions regarding services provided by police stations across the island. The new system, titled the "Sri Lanka Police Community Feedback Portal", allows citizens to access an online portal and share their views on police services through a simple digital process.
Users can select from options including comments, complaints, compliments or suggestions, provide personal details if required, state the reason for visiting a police station, and submit relevant information relating to their feedback, according to the Police Media Division. The initiative aims to improve the efficiency of police services through a people-centred approach supported by data-driven analysis. Members of the public can also access the portal through the E-Services section of the official Sri Lanka Police website.
The Inspector General of Police instructed senior officers and Officers-in-Charge to install QR code boards for the feedback portal at all police stations, including reception areas and prosecution units, whilst also encouraging public use of the facility.
