The postmortem examination of the body of a physiotherapist, which was found inside a car parked near the Teldeniya Base Hospital, is scheduled to be conducted today.

Police investigations have revealed that multiple injuries were found on her neck.

However, no information has yet been reported regarding the whereabouts of the man alleged to be her boyfriend, who is being suspected to be linked to the death.

The deceased (34) was a physiotherapist, who had previously worked at Ampara General Hospital and later resigned. And a resident of Pallalla in Kurundugoda, Weligama.

Investigations have further revealed that she had stayed with her alleged boyfriend at a lodge in the Nuwara Eliya area from June 3 to 16.

Police say the suspect later placed her body in a vehicle the same night and transported it to the Teldeniya area the following morning. CCTV footage related to this incident has now been obtained by the Police.

The Police have also discovered that the man alleged to be her boyfriend was the one who had informed about the incident.
