Individual arrested attempting to smuggle drugs worth Rs. 75mn from Thailand

A 41-year-old Sri Lankan passenger has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake after attempting to smuggle drugs weighing 7.5 kilograms, valued at approximately Rs. 75 million, via the airport’s Green Channel.

According to our Hiru correspondent, the suspect arrived from Thailand and was apprehended within the airport premises during inspection.
