Applications for the General Information Technology (GIT) Examination 2026 are now open for Grade 12 students in government and private schools.


The Department of Examinations announced that applications can only be submitted online from 22 June 2026 to 16 July 2026.


School principals must submit all applications online by visiting the official websites of the Department of Examinations at www.doenets.lk or www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.

Private applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.


Only students studying in Grade 12 in the year 2026, who are scheduled to sit the GCE Advanced Level examination for the first time in 2027, are eligible to apply.


Principals must log into the system using their provided usernames and passwords, and it is mandatory to retain a printed copy of the data after entering student details correctly.
