An investigation is now underway regarding a fraud case where a suspect allegedly deceived an individual out of Rs.50,000 by promising an electric motorcycle.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Nuwan Kaushalya ordered the investigation yesterday (06) after considering facts presented to the court by the Welikada Police.
The court issued this order following a complaint filed by an individual citizen, Mahesh Prasanna.
Investigations revealed that the suspect cheated the complainant by falsely promising to provide an electric motorcycle in exchange for the payment.
