Former Navy Commander Ravindra Wijegunaratne was released on bail today (22) by Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena, after appearing in court as a suspect in a case where he allegedly aided and abetted a suspect connected to the abduction and disappearance of 11 youths in Colombo and surrounding areas in 2008.

The Magistrate ordered his release on two personal bails of one million rupees each.

On the previous court date of the case, he was named as a suspect and issued notices to appear in court today.
