Roman Roy did some pretty devilish things on “Succession,” so perhaps it makes sense that “Family Guy” has tapped star Kieran Culkin to play Satan in a new Halloween-themed special that will run exclusively on Hulu later this year.

Culkin’s casting was announced Saturday during the “Family Guy” panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where it was announced that the show has both a new Halloween and a holiday-time special set to premiere later this fall on both Hulu and (in most international markets) Disney+.

The Halloween special, titled “Happy Hell-o-ween,” features Brian and Stewie as they find themselves in hell — “paying for 24 seasons’ worth of bad behavior. When they manage to annoy even the Devil himself, they end up in charge.”

Meanwhile, here’s the logline for the other upcoming special, “The Peter Clause”: “It’s Christmas in Quahog, and Peter and the guys compete to become the town’s official Santa. Peter loses, and he can either process his disappointment in a mature manner, or give fans a memorable episode of ‘Family Guy.’ Thankfully, he chooses option number two.”

The news of the Halloween and holiday specials came from executive producer and showrunner Rich Appel, who also shared the first look at Culkin’s role as the devil. Also on stage were “Family Guy” stars Alex Borstein (Lois), Arif Zahir (Cleveland), Jennifer Tilly (Bonnie) and co-executive producer/supervising director Peter Shin.

“Family Guy” hits its Season 25 when it returns to Fox in midseason (early 2027). The show also streams next day on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S. From 20th Television Animation production, “Family Guy” is created and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane. Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin serve as executive producers and showrunners, while Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith, Kara Vallow, Mark Hentemann, Patrick Meighan and Alex Carter are executive producers.
