Colombo Dockyard PLC recorded a profit of Rs. 86.28 million for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, marking a full recovery from the Rs. 808.36 million loss reported during the corresponding period last year.

Chief Executive Officer Thimira Wickramasinghe stated that the company recorded earnings of Rs. 0.22 per share during the three-month period, compared to a loss of Rs. 3.51 per share reported in the same period in 2025.

Group revenue declined by 6.8% to Rs. 5.84 billion, mainly due to lower contributions from the ship repairing division, which generated Rs. 3.95 billion in revenue. Revenue from the shipbuilding division also declined to Rs. 1.05 billion.

Despite the decline in revenue, gross profit increased by 250.7% to Rs. 1.21 billion, supported by a 63.8% reduction in net finance expenses, which fell to Rs. 188.20 million.

Total assets stood at Rs. 42.58 billion as of the end of June 2026, while stated capital reached Rs. 13.65 billion following the full allocation of funds raised through a rights issue for loan settlements.
