According to the report issued by the Central Bank on external sector performance in June, total export earnings up to June of the year stood at USD 10,432 million.
Furthermore, an income of USD 1,144 million was earned in June from merchandise exports alone, while income earned from service exports stood at USD 516 million.
The Central Bank also stated that goods worth USD 1,972 million were imported to the country in June.
Moreover, USD 151 million in tourism earnings were received by the country in June, while USD 695 million in worker remittances were also received, the report showed.
In addition, the country's gross official reserves stood at USD 6.5 billion by the end of June.
The country's trade deficit during the relevant month was recorded as USD 829 million.
