Tourism earnings fell by 11.8 percent during the first half of this year, reflecting a decline in tourist arrivals amidst the prevailing war situation in the Middle East, the Central Bank recorded.

Publishing the Monetary Policy Report for August, the Central Bank indicated that worker remittances from overseas employment recorded a strong growth of 23.2 percent up to June this year, rising to 4.6 billion dollars.
