Royal Nursing Home (Pvt) Ltd, one of South Asia’s leading elderly care service providers, has marked a new milestone in its growth journey with the inauguration of its new Corporate Head Office at Barnes Place, Colombo 07, further strengthening the company’s administrative and operational capabilities.

Established in 2007 under the leadership of Chairman Manuja Hewawasam with an initial team of just 25 nursing professionals, Royal Nursing Home has grown significantly over the past 19 years. Today, the company employs a permanent healthcare workforce of more than 1,600 professionals, reflecting the scale of its operations and its contribution to Sri Lanka’s elderly and patient care sectors.

Royal Nursing Home currently operates a network of eight nursing homes, with facilities located in Mount Lavinia, Maharagama, Pannipitiya, Kaduwela, Malabe, Hanwella and Athurugiriya in Sri Lanka, together with an international presence in London, United Kingdom.

The company said its continued expansion and workforce growth have positioned Royal Nursing Home among the largest elderly care service providers in South Asia, with its scale of operations surpassing that of India-based home healthcare provider Portea Medical.

In addition to its elderly and nursing care operations, Royal Nursing Home owns and operates what it describes as Sri Lanka’s largest private-sector ambulance network, further extending its presence across the country’s healthcare services sector.

Royal Nursing Home is recognised as Sri Lanka’s first and only elderly care service provider to obtain the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification. The company is also an approved institution of the Private Health Services Regulatory Council, which operates under the Ministry of Health.

The inauguration of the new Corporate Head Office at Barnes Place represents a significant step in this journey, providing a central base from which the company can coordinate its expanding network and future growth initiatives.

The new Colombo 07 Corporate Head Office marks not only another milestone in Royal Nursing Home’s 19-year journey of uninterrupted service, but also the beginning of a new chapter in its ambition to strengthen Sri Lanka’s position within the rapidly developing regional elderly care industry.
