MP Sagara Kariyawasam appointed Deputy Government Whip

Sagara Kariyawasam, Attorney-at-Law, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has been appointed as the Deputy Government Whip of Parliament.

The letter of appointment was handed over to him by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Prime Minister's Office in Parliament today.

The appointment has been made following the resignation of Jayantha Ketagoda, a former Member of Parliament who previously held the post of Deputy Government Whip.
