1,465 dengue patients have been recorded in the Ratnapura district this year, according to the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Director of Health Services, Dr. Kapila Kannangara.
He also noted that 166 employees at the Ratnapura Hospital have contracted dengue in the last 10 days.
The Alapatha, Balangoda, Pelmadulla, Kuruwita, and Ehaliyagoda Divisional Secretariat divisions are identified as having the highest number of dengue cases in the district so far this year.
