ARREST WARRANT RECALLED FOR FORMER MP SAJIN VASS GUNAWARDENA

The Colombo Magistrate's Court today (26) recalled the arrest warrant issued against former MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena.

This is over a case related to the alleged evasion of income tax amounting to Rs. 3.69 million.

Gunawardena appeared before Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala through his lawyer.

The court ordered his release on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and four sureties of Rs.2.5 million each.
