A special meeting is set to take place today (24) between striking postal workers and Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, who is also overseeing discussions on behalf of the government.
According to officials, representatives from all postal trade unions currently participating in the strike have been invited to attend the talks, were scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
The postal strike, which began on August 17, has now entered its seventh consecutive day. Several trade unions have joined the industrial action, citing unresolved demands related to working conditions and administrative issues.
Today's discussion is expected to focus on potential resolutions to end the ongoing disruption to postal services nationwide.
