Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organiser Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has called on all war heroes, trade unions, public servants, and national forces to unite against what he described as the "hunting" of war heroes and the suppression of trade unions.
The MP made the appeal during a meeting with trade unions at the SLPP's main office on Nelum Mawatha.
Rajapaksa stated that he is completely against the persecution of war heroes, claiming that the government is making an "unsuccessful attempt" to both hunt them and suppress trade unions.
He added that the current administration's focus is on "suppression, not development," and that he is well-prepared to face these actions.
