A 29-year-old woman has been arrested by Ethimale Police for illegally excavating land in search of antiquities.
The suspect, a resident of the Gemunupura area, was arrested the day before yesterday (21), along with her digging equipment.
Police say another suspect managed to flee the scene, but his motorcycle was taken into police custody.
Ethimale Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the second suspect.
