Six spill gates of the Victoria Reservoir were opened this morning (27) due to the rainy weather affecting the Central Hills.
The Engineer's office in charge of the dam stated that due to the heavy rainfall, six automatic gates of the Victoria Reservoir opened by 4.5 meters each this morning, releasing 2,685 cubic meters per second into the lower Mahaweli River and the Randenigala Reservoir.
