Multiple main roads that were obstructed due to flooding and landslides caused by the adverse weather are now reopened for traffic.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development stated that the Ella - Wellawaya, Colombo - Anuradhapura 57 road, Kandy - Jaffna, Kurunegala - Trincomalee, and Panadura - Ratnapura roads stand opened for traffic.
Additionally, the Colombo - Kandy main road was blocked at Uthuwankanda Walakadaya due to a landslide.
However, one lane is now open in the area.
Our correspondent also reported that the Polonnaruwa - Batticaloa main road stands reopened after four days.
