Over 85 per cent of roads obstructed due to the recent disaster conditions are now open for traffic, the Road Development Authority (RDA) announced.
RDA Director General Vimal Kandambi, speaking at a Government Information Department press conference yesterday (6), stated that the Authority expects to open all remaining damaged roads for traffic movement within the coming week.
However, a section of the Colombo-Kandy main road between Ganetenna and Kadugannawa will continue to be closed nightly from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
