A strong lightning warning was issued for several regions.
The Department of Meteorology announced that certain areas in the Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces, as well as the Colombo and Kalutara Districts, may experience severe lightning accompanied by thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Water levels in all of the island's reservoirs returned to a normal level, states the Department of Irrigation.
The department announced that, according to data from its measurement centers, a flood level no longer exists in any reservoir.
