The first seasonal flight carrying tourists from Moldova is scheduled to touch down at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on Saturday (27).
Vision Air will operate nine direct flights as part of this programme.
According to Udayanga Weeratunga, a former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, the flight series is expected to bring approximately 1,500 tourists to the island over the coming months.
