Sri Lanka’s tourism sector saw a robust beginning this year, with official data showing 223,645 international visitors already arriving in the country in the first 25 days of the month.
India remains the primary source market, contributing nearly 20% of all arrivals, with 41,603 visitors, followed by significant numbers from the United Kingdom (23,329), Russia (22,876), and Germany (14,431).
2025 saw over 2.3 million foreign nationals visit the island, marking the highest annual arrival total in the nation's history.
