A driver sustained severe injuries after his three-wheeler veered off the road and tumbled into a 235-foot deep precipice, landing in a canal. The Nanu Oya Police confirmed the victim is currently receiving treatment at the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital.
The incident occurred yesterday (02) around 2:00 PM on the Nuwara Eliya-Hatton road via Kirimatiya, specifically in the Radella-Clarendon Estate area.
According to police reports, high speed caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. He was the sole occupant at the time. The vehicle suffered extensive damage during the fall
